The bud cap is built on a foundation of fine gold granulation, where beaded edging catches the light with a warmth distinct from polished gold surfaces. Kite-shaped clusters of natural diamonds are set within the geometric form, creating a deliberate contrast between the textured gold, the sharp diamond brilliance, and the smooth spherical pearl below. The pearl is secured by a mechanical safety clasp. The interplay of three distinct surfaces, granulated gold, faceted diamonds, and lustrous pearl, is the defining quality of this piece.
